Residential Services

Partnerships for People provides many choices in living arrangements for individuals with developmental disabilities. Whether it's a private supervised apartment, cooperative living arrangement, group home or in-home support system, all living arrangements are designed to meet each individual's particular needs. Supervision can range from as little as 2 hours a week to twenty-four 24 hours a day. This decision is based on an evaluation process that includes input from the consumer, his/her family and friends, and professionals.

In order to enable individuals and families to make informed choices about housing, Partnerships for People works closely with Partnerships in Housing, a not-for-profit organization that provides information and support on alternative housing opportunities for underserved popluations.

Fee-for-Service

All services provided through Partnerships for People's residential, employment and case management programs may be purchased selectively by individuals with developmental disabilities or their families. Fee-for-service supports include, but are not limited to, personal care support, respite services and employment counseling and placement.

Supportive Employment

Partnerships for People's supportive employment program offers productive recruiting, training and consulting solutions by building mutually beneficial relationships between New Jersey employers and individuals with developmental disabilties. Services include, but are not limited to applicant assessment, job development, job analysis, employment consultation and ongoing consultation.

Student Transitional Services

For students ages 14 through 21, Partnerships for People's transition services provides the crucial link enabling the development of independent living skills.

Partnerships for People works with public and private schools to help students transition from school to work. Students receive hands-on training in independent living skills, community skills and career development.

Partnerships' Transition Services Program doesn't only focus on employment. We have become trail blazers - teaching students with disabilities how to live independently in the community.

Like every other program we offer, the service is individualized to meet each student's needs.
